Alexander began riding mountain bikes in Fall of 2014 and began racing shortly thereafter. His sophomore year, he joined Cycling Development. Competing in the Sophomore Division 2 category, he claimed the top spot in overall points, winning 4 of 5 NorCal League races and then placing 2nd at State Championships. This upcoming season, he will be taking it up a notch and competing in the Varsity Boys Division, yet also focusing on USAC XC Nationals and Sea Otter Classic. Before discovering cycling, Alexander was a competitive gymnast for 10 years, winning a dozen State Championship titles along with podium spots at larger competitions such as Regional Championships, National Championships, Elite Challenge, and the Kalon Invitational. Outside of cycling, Alexander enjoys spending time outdoors, hammocking, spending time with friends and family, skimboarding, rock climbing, drawing, painting, and he is an avid slackliner.
