Cody Schwartz

Age: 18

Cody is a California born and raised athlete who currently lives in Shingle Springs, CA, in the heart of California’s gold country. Cody has been racing mountain bikes for six years and riding mountain bikes for as long as he can remember. Cody’s self-proclaimed specialty is cross-country and short track XC events, but he can also be found toeing up to the line in various endurance MTB events, road bike criteriums, circuit races, enduro events, and is also a Cat 1 cyclocross racer.  Cody’s favorite events thus far in his racing career have been XC National Championships at Mammoth Mountain, the Downieville Classic All Mountain World Championships, and the Inaugural Epic Rides Carson City Off Road Backcountry Race and Fat Tire Crit. Cody was a part of the US National Team representing the US for a week of XC racing outside of Toronto, Canada this past summer. That experience has not only opened his eyes to the world of international competition but deepened his desire and passion to be on the top steps of the podium at races around the country and overseas.

Cody is currently attending Sacramento State University in their Civil Engineering Program to pursue a degree and Professional Engineering License. His interests lie in making things work, solving difficult problems, and working on different civil engineering projects throughout the country. When not studying or at school, Cody spends his time training, racing, and exploring the outdoors. As an Eagle Scout and lifelong outdoorsman, Cody enjoys spending summers and weekends on and off the bike exploring the mountains and foothills of California and beyond.

Cody looks forward to expanding his racing experience and resume this year with more events around the country, including some US Pro XCT races, Epic Rides Endurance Series, and National Championships. With his racing talent and with Scott on board as a leader of innovation and technology in the cycling scene, this year looks brighter than ever.
