Jon lives in Granite Bay with his wife and two young children. Through his childhood and teenage years, his athletic endeavors included baseball and basketball, but after college, he honed his love for cycling, both on the road and on trails.
Jon enjoys competing as a member of a local masters road racing team, and also takes part in mountain bike races ranging in distance from short-track to 24-hour solo events.
In an effort to share his love and knowledge of the sport of cycling, and to perpetuate its growth through young riders, Jon became a high school mountain bike coach in 2011. Now, in 2017, Jon continues to coach a program that has grown from 40 to 80 athletes, while also educating them on the benefits of healthy eating on their overall performance.
Jon is the head trainer and nutrition coach for the Cycling Development Scott USA Team where his focus is on creating individualized training plans for the athletes.
When he’s not coaching, Jon works as a partner in a produce company. He enjoys watching his kids compete in various sports, hiking with his family, and fly fishing.
