Lauren has been an adrenaline junky as long as she can remember. She followed in her father’s footsteps with two wheel obsession once the training wheels came off and she was being pushed down a grassy hill. Racing has always been a key piece of the Desrosiers family life. Soon after learning how to ride a bicycle without training wheels Lauren’s competitive passion for motorcycle and BMX racing was met in the middle with mountain bike racing. Over the past six seasons of racing, Lauren has experienced many successes and adventures along her path. A few of her favorite memories to date include racing in the NorCal High School Mountain Bike League and meeting some of her closest friends and teammates, traveling nationally and internationally for races, and the developing the determination and grit it takes to reach goals in training and in races. A few notable results Lauren holds include a 1st place finish in Cat 1 15-18 Fontana XC, a 3rd place finish in the Cat 1 15-18 XC at the Sea Otter Classic in 2015, 2nd place Varsity in the 2015 California High School Championships, and a 13th place finish in the UCI Cat 1 17-18 2016 MTB National Championships. Her most proud moment was in 2015 when she received the opportunity to race with Team USA junior development in Ontario, Canada.
When Lauren is not on her bike she generally enjoys being outdoors in her hometown of Folsom, California. Folsom is filled with foothills and a beautiful lake so she enjoys in exploring them as much as possible. Hiking, hammocking, camping, sunset admiring, and reading new books are just a few of her favorite non-cycling activities. Her future aspirations include studying exercise science in college, living in Colorado, racing collegiately, having a couple of pugs, and traveling.
